We are Atria Collective

Dear Community Member,

Our organization has proudly served Addison County and the Town of Rochester for over 40 years. Today, we are overjoyed to announce that we are opening another chapter in our long organizational history under a new name. After a reflective, collaborative process that actively engaged our community members, including service users, community partners, staff, volunteers, and Board members, we have arrived at Atria Collective as the name that encompasses all that we do, and all whom we serve.

Atria are the literal and metaphorical spaces for community engagement, uniting people together under the shared vision of a safer, more equitable future. Our name represents this point of interconnectedness and serves as a reflection of our community’s commitment to welcoming all people who seek services, education, or to be of service to others. Atria Collective’s logo depicts an overlapping mountain range, representing our three pillars of collective action: Advocacy, Education, and Social Change. Together, our logo and name serve as distillation of our mission, vision, and continuing dedication to inclusion. At Atria Collective, we mobilize for collaborative action, we hold space for all people, and we centralize survivors at the heart of all we do.

Atria Collective is action-oriented, generative, inclusive, and representative, serving all people across the age and gender spectrum. Our scope of work, intersectional approach, and the number of survivors, youth, and community members that we serve has continually increased over the past 43 years. Our new name reflects this expansion, expresses the depth and breadth of our work, and demonstrates our renewed capacity to amplify our impact.

We believe that effective anti-violence work hinges on our community’s ability to connect with our agency and to feel embraced, welcomed, and affirmed by every interaction they have with us. As Atria Collective, we are empowered to operate with integrity under a name that honors and reflects our core values of collective liberation, safety, justice, equity, transformation, and joy.

You can expect to see the Atria Collective brand identity eclipse that of WomenSafe throughout the month of October. Our new name will be fully embraced across print and online platforms by October 31st, 2023.

We are eternally grateful for your support throughout this process, and for your continued dedication to ensuring a safer tomorrow for all.

 In community,
