Domestic Abuse Education Project

The Domestic Abuse Education Project(DAEP) is a program for men who have been controlling, abusive, or violent toward a female partner. The program aims to provide practical and challenging information to answer the following questions:

  • What is domestic abuse/violence?
  • Why do men use abuse/violence in relationships?
  • What are the effects of abuse/violence?
  • What can I do to stop being abusive?

Participants meet in groups of up to ten men to explore answers to these questions through discussions and various exercises. Each group is led by trained facilitators who help participants remain focused and accountable.
